For the past decade or so I have been working within Federal Departments and Agencies developing and deploying performance measurement systems and linking them to advanced analytics and dashboards. Over the past few years I have become adept at using Tableau, Tableau Data Prep, Power BI, KNIME and Orange to complete visualizations, data mining and data analytics. I am now working with cloud computing on Microsoft Azure and Databricks, collating and blending data for advanced analytics around science citations and social media mentions.
Data is now a key strategic corporate asset and needs to be managed with strategic thought. A major project has been developing a corporate data strategy that has given me a lot to think about regarding data culture, data literacy, data management and the intrinsic value of data as a strategic asset. All of that and more will be shared on this blog.
